Recently I wanted to get a dotfiles repository to store vim settings. To manage plugins I use Vundle. Most plugins are installed with GitHub and are git repositories, like Vundle itself.I transferred everything to the dotfiles folder and created a repository there in the usual way:
git init
git remote add origin...
git add.
git commit -m'Initial commit'
git push origin master

And I found out that the plugins were not commited. Is there a way to add them?

Thank you in advance.
  • And is it possible to make a link from your repository to another repository? – Strange Salamander Nov 9 '14 at 13:30

git add -A.
Why add plugins to dotfiles repo?
  • Thank you.As a minimum, Vundle itself needs to be added in order not to install all plugins manually. – Strange Salamander Nov 9 '14 at 13:51
git submodule init
git submodule add<repo-url>
