Is there a fundamental difference/advantage how to store and import a project config - just from a JSON file or as a module from JS?
  • Json, of course. It’s easier to back up if necessary. – Catholic Rugby Jan 31 '18 at 20:56
  • Plain67, what does it mean to"mine"? From JS, I can use a construct like {API_KEY}, how is this advantage in practice? – Hungry63 Jan 31 '18 at 21:02

According to the situation.
If the config is 100% static, then JSON.
If inside the config you need to dynamically change the values, then of course JS.
If stored in js - there is a temptation to execute some code there. What can lead to the fact that part of the logic will be in the configuration file...
